Typical single phase motor wring diagrams including HI/Lo voltage, start and run capacitors (if used), start and run windings and centrifugal switches.

These diagrams are intended to represent the basics of how a single phase motor is wound. They may or may not apply to your particular motor, but should serve as a basis for troubleshooting and demystifying the wires available in the motors junction box. Special care should be taken with older motors that may not use the same lead identification as shown in the drawings.
