Rockwell 22-300 Rebuild

I bought a Rockwell Uniplane and disassembled everything to clean up and lubricate. I am having trouble with adjusting the infeed fence. I can adjust it out but when I try to adjust it in the screw shaft unscrews from the block. What am I doing wrong?
