Here's some pics of digging into a Baldor motor to repair a bad centrifugal switch posted by Bob Vaughan here. in this example, the contacts were damaged and needed repair.

Here's the points that need filing, sanding, and otherwise smoothing out. Be careful not to bend the copper springs.

Set the motor upright on two blocks and insert the spring washer into the bearing housing
