Here's some pics of digging into a Baldor motor to repair a bad centrifugal switch.
Remove the fan cover
Remove the fan (be careful here)
Remove the motor bolts
Mark where the end bells line up
Knock loose the rotor from this direction
Here's what you should see inside. Note charred contact points
Knock loose the back end bell (Ok, ok, so its a different motor shown)

Here's the points that need filing, sanding, and otherwise smoothed out. Be careful not to bend the copper springs.
Set the motor upright on two blocks and insert the spring washer into the bearing housing
Carefully put the rotor back in

Tap on a stick to rotate end bells for proper alignment and assemble motor
