He did this in Sweden, but America proved to be his market, and so he came here. The Johansson Gaging System was announced in 1906 but was so incredible that it was not accepted for several years, being first taken liberally by the American automotive industry to increase the precision in manufacturing Interchangeable parts. The American representation was established In 1911, first merely selling but later to manufacturing.
